History
Being one of the oldest (most likely the second oldest) party plan jewelry
company, Park Lane has plenty about which to be proud. Over fifty years of
making women sparkle and still growing strong. There are not many women living
in the United States or Canada that have not heard of Park Lane or who have not
been to one of their jewelry parties.
Founded by Arthur and Shirley LeVin, the company is still family owned and
operated. At age sixteen, Shirley attended a home party for household items and
convinced her husband that they, too, should start a direct selling home party
plan business. They chose jewelry as they felt it would always have appeal. Now
semi-retired, the founders have passed on the helm to their three sons.
Interestingly enough, the founders no longer earn profits from the company, but
rather, reinvest their own profits into the Sales Field, some of whom have been
with the company for over thirty years.
Through the years the company has been highlighted in many magazines, received
numerous awards and has been named consistently in the Top 10 Best Home Based
Business Opportunity lists.
Products
Many regular catalogs and supplemental catalogs are published throughout the
year. Fashion Consultants are permitted their own websites but are not permitted
to post the catalog online.
Years of experience and exposure allow the company to offer many collections.
Fashion is always changing and so should the accessories thus, Park Lane
continually updates the lines to encompass all seasons, new trends and also to
recreate vintage periods.
Product Guarantee: 120 Day Exchange or Replacement - handling fee after 120 days
and replacement only.
Compensation Plan
With a very aggressive plan that pays on a weekly basis, this is one point
that is sure to motivate Fashion Consultants to join and become successful. In
addition to commissions on personal sales, the company offers overrides on the
sales of those sponsored into the business and bonuses on total team volume.
Prizes, volume contests, trips and car programs are standard fare with Park Lane.
One of the unique advantages that Park Lane offers when recruiting, is to allow
qualified home party plan leaders from other companies to become leaders
immediately without rising through the ranks. They must be approved and will
move into a position parallel to the one they vacated.
Community or Charitable Work
The Greater Illinois Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation honored Shirley LeVin with their "Bloom" award. In 2007, the company, along with its Representatives, joined in the Toys for Tots program to collect and donate new toys for children at Christmas.
