Success of Party Plan Ventures

Party Plan companies are hugely successful for many reasons. Children's books and toys, lingerie and lotions, plastic goods and household gadgets, and even fine jewelry are all sold by the home party plan method. Each company has varying levels of pay structures, different products and creative motivation in contests, prizes and trips.

But what really makes the party plan method of selling so successful?

Friends are trustworthy.

What is the first thing a person does when he/she buys something they find appealing or useful? They tell their friends about it. They do not tell them with the intent of profiting but rather with the intent of helping and letting others know about a "good thing". Party Plans do the same thing. Women invite friends, relatives and colleagues to home parties to see something of value. And others will come just because the person says it will be beneficial. This is a huge attraction for party plan companies as they are able to reach a larger audience much quicker than with traditional retailing. Friends and relatives buy on the recommendations of people they know.

Party Plan is non-threatening.

Today's society has taught us to be aware of the many scam artists and their schemes. Thus, when a stranger invites us to their home or office to see a new product or moneymaking venture, we become standoffish. But going to the home of a trusted friend or relative is welcomed. We are actually excited to see what they might have.

Party Plan products are usually useful or appealing.

Many of today's schemes do not actually help people. The products are meager facades to placate laws put in place to protect people from money scams. The products tend to be useless, stocked in garages all over the country and are usually of poor quality. They are the front only for the money the company is generating.

But with most party plan companies, because their focus is not the money people are paying, but rather the product itself, the products tend to be of higher quality, they tend to appeal to the masses and they are above all, useful in everyday living. Party plan companies usually start with a mission to provide a better product. In addition, people who start party plan companies, while they wish to earn an income, they start for reasons other than income. They might start small hoping to help a charity or help other women who are in their position or they might start because they see the need in the community as a whole for something they invented themselves out of necessity. Other schemes tend to think of the money first and then quickly find a product to meet legal requirements.

Party Plan is fun.

Years ago, when the founding party plan companies like Tupperware and Sarah Coventry began, women did not work. They typically stayed at home, cooking, cleaning, baking and raising the children. For many women, going to a Tupperware party was a way to get out of the house. It was a safe social activity with friends and family. They were able to meet new people and had an exciting evening of fun, usually getting dressed up and sharing coffee and baked goods.
